For the treatment of Parkinson's disease PK-Merz is an effective therapeutic principle which rapidly and comprehensively improves the principal and troublesome symptoms rigor, tremor and akinesia. Thus the patient becomes more independent in performing the activities of everyday life: getting up become easier, walking steadier and the movements are less restricted. Particularly impressive are the psychic brightening and the increased interest in the surroundings.

The sulphate compound of amantadine developed by Merz Adamantane Research for the treatment of Parkinsonism has the great therapeutic advantage that this comprehensive effect is achieved with good tolerance. Therefore, PK-Merz is also especially suitable for out-patient treatment.
